ChemChats are monthly open roundtable discussions on Zoom facilitated by NEACT. ChemChats are aimed at high school and college chemistry teachers but are open to all STEM teachers. Come to share ideas, come to ask questions, or just come for the collegiality.
Our topic for this afternoon is "Sense Making". Once students have made observations or collected data, how do they make scientific sense out of what they have seen? How can we help them interpret the world from an atomic viewpoint? Come with ideas to share or questions ... or just come for the collegiality. I will post a recording of the Chat, and materials you wish to share can be put in this google.drive folder.
ChemChats are hosted by Sue Klemmer. I am ZOOMING from the coast of Maine, so times are always stated as east coast time. We run 4:00-5:00 pm EST.
ChemChats generally run the 2nd Thursday of each month from September through June. The December ChemChat will be run on December 12th and the topic will be "Teaching Chemistry in Non-Ideal Spaces".
