ChemChats are monthly open roundtable discussions on Zoom facilitated by NEACT. ChemChats are aimed at high school and college chemistry teachers but are open to all STEM teachers. Come to share ideas, come to ask questions, or just come for the collegiality.
Our topic for this afternoon is "Demonstrations as anchoring phenomena for a unit." Come to share cool demos you use to anchor a unit, come with questions on how to use this type of demo, come with units you'd like demo ideas for, or just come to listen to your colleagues. You can add to or access shared documents in this folder.
ChemChats are hosted by Sue Klemmer. I am ZOOMING from the coast of Maine, so times are always stated as east coast time. We run 4:00-5:00 pm EST.
The next ChemChat will be Jan. 11th (the 2nd Thursday of the month is our usual date) and that topic will be "Differentiation". We'll also be looking for future topics.
