Active Matter: Grant-funded workshop for High School Teachers

Biology, chemistry and physics teachers are invited to apply to take part in an NSF-funded project about active fluids and active matter. Selected teachers will participate in a 2-day summer workshop (Aug. 12-13) about active matter and the Vicsek model simulation, led by WPI Professor Kun-Ta Wu and the STEM Education Center. Based on the workshop, participants will develop a classroom lesson to be implemented in their classrooms. Participants will receive a $500 stipend upon implementation of the lesson and reflection on the classroom experience. Applications will be accepted until May 15. Email Mia for more information.
