On-Site Chemical Management Assistance--Summer 2016

The US EPA, Region 1 is offering a limited number of middle and high school’s science departments, FREE on-site assistance to help you better manage your chemical resources.
EPA’s team, over the past 10 years, has assisted over 120 communities. The team will screen, collect, inspect, inventory and properly store your chemicals. The team will identify outdated, contaminated, unwanted, waste and inappropriate chemicals for subsequent removal by the school. A “real-time” chemical inventory will be created for every stock chemical container. This chemical database (Excel) includes the Global Harmonized System (GHS) “signal word” and the ranking according to the 9 pictograms as well as the NFPA hazards ratings.

Please Contact Dwight Peavey, PhD, Senior Scientist at 617-918-1829 or via email: peavey.dwight@epa.gov to discuss this FREE, on-site assistance.
