Plan to join chemistry teachers from all over New England for a stimulating learning experience while enjoying the company of old and new friends in historic Concord, Massachusetts. The annual NEACT summer conference will be held August 17-18, 2018 at the Middlesex School in historic Concord, MA.  This year's program includes four laboratory workshops and "Chemistry Camp"--a discussion of the real challenges that chemistry educators face--plus several field trip opportunities.  The highlight of the conference is our guest speaker Sam Keane, NY Times best selling author of The Disappearing Spoon.

This year's 79th Summer Conference will address important issues that relate to the challenges of teaching chemistry. Come away with fresh ideas for the classroom and ready-to-implement demos and labs.

Participants will enjoy the new Clay Science Center. . There is financial help (scholarships) for attendees, especially for first-timers. Conference registration does not include lodging.  Accommodations are available nearby.

PDPs will be awarded.

We urge you to present a lecture or a workshop at the conference. The theme is quite broad by design. NEACT welcomes lectures (about 1 hour), workshops (1 - 2.5 hours), or other forms of scientific presentation. All topics will be considered.

Please fill out the speaker form

Volunteers to help with the conference are always welcome.
